Spider-Man Crawlspace Podcast

This show has a little bit of everything. We do a review of the Ultimate Alliance 2 video game and have our regular recommendations. We then tackled the dozens of message board questions. Some of the highlights include us talking about the creepiest Spidey story, if the comics code should come back and there is a battle between Stella 52 and Bubba Moose. That is worth the listen alone!

The spider-panel is all together for this month's episode. In the show we review Amazing Spider-Man #604-608 along with Spider-Man: The Clone Saga. The gang also discusses the lawsuit against Marvel from artist Jack Kirby's kids. For this month in Spider-History we tackle October 1985 which was a great month for Spidey.

In this episode we answer dozens of message board questions from the fans. Some of the highlight questions include if the internet has helped comic sales, what is the difference between Ben Reilly and Peter Parker, and why Venom is the only villain that has stuck around in the last 20 years.

We wrap up our second hour with the Spectacular Spider-Man animated series team. We have the voice of Spider-Man actor Josh Keaton and producer Greg Weisman. In the second half hour we talk about Kraven's transformation, if there are clones coming to the show, and what classic stories should be adapted into the show.

Our friend George Berryman decided to create a Crawl Space remix. He took Michael and Stella rapping and remixed em. JR and BD make an appearance too. Very fun stuff.

In this episode we talk to Spectacular Spider-Man producer Greg Weisman, and voice actor Josh Keaton aka Spider-Man himself. We discuss the changes the show has seen in it's short life including the move from the Kids WB to Disney XD. We also give you information on how you can help with the show continuing with a season 3.

We also have a good discussion about Disney buying Marvel and the future of our favorite character. And if for no other reason, you'll want to hear Spider-Girl rap her birthday wishes to Kevin.

Last month we celebrated 3 years of the podcast and 11 years of the site. We took live callers on that show and whenever we do that it's always a technical challenge. I had a lot of editing to do on those three shows that month and there were some funny moments I edited out. I didn't want to just throw them away so I though it'd be fun to splice all of them together for a blooper show. Now before you listen I have to give a warning. We're unfiltered here. You'll likely here some language in this episode that you normally don't hear on our regular show. So with that warning out of the way. Here' 15 minutes of outtakes. Enjoy!

Some of the highlights include: a discussion on the cast members of the Spider-Man titles that no one every brings back, what character based on their normal life we would all like to be,and I get confused that a caller is an expectant father when he really isn't. It's one of my favorite parts.

We also give our two cents on the casting of MJ and the Green Goblin in the new Spider-Man musical. We then travel back to July 1979 and talk about the first appearance of the Black Cat in the This Month in Spider-History.

Writers Howard Mackie and Tom DeFalco talk about their upcoming mini series "Spider-Man: The Clone Saga." The book will show how the two originally wanted the clone saga to go down. In the interview we talk about the popularity of Ben Reilly, if we'll see him again after the mini-series wraps up. Also is Baby May coming back?

The gang talks about Marvel raising their cover prices and if comics are a drug and if we're addicts. We then tackle message board questions. Some of the highlights include our favorite Spider-Man action figure, where the strangest place we've ever read a comic, and we share our favorite Spider-Man milestone issue of the century mark. Amazing Spider-Man # 400 ranked pretty high. We then conclude with recommendations for the month.

In this episode we announce the addition of Michael Baily as our newest member of the panel. The show has the gang reviewing Amazing Spider-Man # 593-595. We also discuss the possible return on the Clone Saga. We then take a trip back in time to June 2001 for "This Month in Spider-History." We also talk about the possible increase in comic costs.

The gang gets some good ones this month. We find out what we think the favorite decade of Spider-Man was and why. Also JR does several impressions that is worth the price of admission. Even Mrs. Crawl Space answers a question!

The gang celebrates Mother's Day by discussing Spider-Talk. JR, Stella and BD review Amazing Spider-Man # 590 and 591. They also discuss Spider-Girl going online and if digital comics are the future. Other topics include re-casting Mary Jane in the movies and our experiences on Free Comic Book Day. For "This month in Spider-History" we go back to May 1993.

And we go back to April of 1984 for "This Month is Spider-History."
